I really like the sense of something going on in the first picture, I lover the angle and colours on the food pictures but feel that you have started in the middle, it needs some shots of the raw ingredients (maybe in the packets or at the shop) and the finished product on a plate or after its been eaten with the leftovers at the end.
You're absolutely right. I should have planned ahead, but I only thought of using it as a story (I didn't find it an easy task) after I'd started - so no the kitchen wasn't immaculate at all! And then the problem is that we haven't eaten it yet - It is part of forward planning my life!
I think Rich is right about that red lid - at first it was hiding things and the inside of the dish was white which I didn't think was ideal! None of it is as easy as it looks!
